Welcome back to Minute to Win It Monday! Here is this weeks game:

My little guys had one minute to get a small square of tissue paper from one side of the carpet to the other using only a bendy straw. This one was a bit easier; most students were able to do it. I made sure the kids took a seat for a minute or two after their turn in order to let them catch their breath. :-) Have a fantastic week!

Welcome back to Minute to Win It Monday! Here is this week's game:

My kiddos had one minute to transfer 4 cotton balls from one plate to another, using only their nose and a bit of lotion. We very carefully put a dollop of lotion on the tips of their noses, and then they went to town trying to stick the cotton balls to their noses and then shake them off when they got to the other plate. This game is definitely a good one when you need a laugh. :-) The kidlets needed a bit of help getting the lotion off of their noses without getting it in their eyes when they were done. The idea for this game is not mine, it actually came from one of my wonderful colleagues who works down the hall.

Welcome back to Minute to Win It! Here is this week's game:

Students had one minute to get four pom poms into a cup using two pencils. Can you tell which student  has used chopsticks? One of my students was so good at using the pencils like chopsticks that he finished in six seconds. His classmates were thoroughly impressed, which was great since he is a new student. This is yet another game that is great for fine motor development. (I'm seeing a trend here....) Have a great week! I know that for some of you, this is your last week, and I must say I'm a bit jealous as we have six weeks of school left! :-)

Big Blog Announcement!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out in blogland.

This has definitely been a good week. First of all, I won Third Grade Galore's giveaway, so I got some awesome products from a few different bloggers! This is the second time I've won a giveaway in the last couple of years, so I'm feeling pretty lucky. Perhaps I should buy a lottery ticket.

Second, I decided to create my own blog template! I started this blog when I started my Master's degree, and I really didn't post or do as much as I would have liked with it. Now that I'm a week away from graduation, I'm feeling ready to give my blog the attention it deserves. So, off I went to search for great scrapbook paper and clipart to go with the superhero theme I wanted to create. I found just what I was looking for in Clementine Digitals' Etsy shop!

With that being said, I'm asking begging you to head on over to my new blog, The Littlest Superheroes. Please follow me there, as I will be phasing this blog out. I would also LOVE feedback on the design since I've never designed a blog before. I'll be announcing a Grand Opening Giveaway on that site sometime in the next couple of weeks. What is your favorite thing to see in a giveaway?
